SMARTteam (Students Managing Anger and Resolution Together) is a multimedia, computer-based violence prevention intervention that uses games, simulations, graphics, animations, and interactive interviews to engage adolescents in learning new skills to resolve conflicts without violence. Activities include:
-
Teen Interviews. Key into teenage role models discussing conflict resolution and mediation strategies, as well as their own personal experiences as mediators.
-
What's On Their Minds? Play against the clock! Review conflict situations and then decide what the characters are thinking. Learn to use perspective to better understand the situation.
-
Celebrity Interviews. Ask someone famous! Hear how celebrities handle anger and conflict and how they feel about some of their life experiences when they were adolescents.
-
Talking It Out—Mediation. Take some easy steps. Find out how to problem-solve by talking it out with another person. In an interactive interview, walk through a problem-solving process. A great mediation tool.
