Offer strategies that teens can use to feel good about themselves and their bodies. This nurturing video teaches young adults how to overcome body dysmorphic disorder by discussing how self-esteem develops, how to eliminate negative self-talk, what signs and symptoms indicate a disorder, why physical perfection is not a healthy goal, and more. Instead of relying on superficial traits, teens are encouraged to base their self-worth on personality, talents, and accomplishments.
